Ricardinho Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Claudinho Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Aparecido came free, but Yan Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th play minute Diguinho Mineiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Valdomiro Nunes. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Macedo in the 24th minute of play forced GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Yan Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Inácio Rosado fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Patriots's protests and gave Inácio Rosado a yellow card for diving instead. Diguinho Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jean Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jean Faria made the kick off in the second half. Armando Soeiro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. GeRaÇãO-83's Yan Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save GeRaÇãO-83 from getting a goal against them. When Claudinho Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the New England Patriots fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Aparecido couldn't finish the play. Yan Salles made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Claudinho Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. GeRaÇãO-83's Tales Valladares suffered a sore thigh after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Raí Félix fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Patriots's protests and gave Raí Félix a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when New England Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Cavalcante in the 70th minute of play forced New England Patriots's goalkeeper Valdomiro Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdomiro Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Víktor Cavalcante went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Emanuel Schmidt's late challenge caught a New England Patriots's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Schmidt helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes New England Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Aparecido. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Aparecido got free with Yan Salles in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Víktor Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the GeRaÇãO-83 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes New England Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Jean Faria. Víktor Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of New England Patriots's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. New England Patriots may have spent more time on the ball, but GeRaÇãO-83 were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
