Claudinho Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Hilario Lucian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Claudinho Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulinho Paraibano scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hilario Lucian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Claudinho Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Identidad Soberana's zone, Paulinho Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Lucian came out of the goal and Paulinho Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute Paulinho Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braulio Lizar hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the C.A. Identidad Soberana defense, Samuel Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Lucian. The C.A. Identidad Soberana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Lucian should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Cornelio Eneas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Ribeiro got free with Hilario Lucian in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 58 played minutes C.A. Identidad Soberana got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Quintin. Nilson Corrêa's late challenge caught a C.A. Identidad Soberana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilson Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C.A. Identidad Soberana booed when Squadra Demarchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes in the game, Claudinho Pinho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hilario Lucian having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Claudinho Pinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilario Lucian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Samuel Ribeiro took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Lucian. Hilario Lucian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 85th minute Paulinho Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Claudinho Pinho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hilario Lucian, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Eneas in the 88th minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Eneas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Squadra Demarchi walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
