In the 3rd minute Kauan Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthonio Van Bets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthonio Van Bets having to interfere. Simon Cheepers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Carvalho having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Jacky Streels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anthonio Van Bets stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Soares's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Clube Atlético Paulista's Kauan Guerra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anthonio Van Bets. Anthonio Van Bets yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 17th minute, Edgard Raymaekers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Kickers United's Anthonio Van Bets got control of the ball when Severino Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Marquinhos Pena put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Anthonio Van Bets. Anthonio Van Bets didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Soares went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anthonio Van Bets was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After 30 played minutes Kickers United got a freekick which was hit by Jacky Streels. Anthonio Van Bets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Cabral in the 32nd minute of the match. Clube Atlético Paulista were furious when Eduardo Cabral was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 35th minute, Eduardo Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Kauan Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Atlético Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Joachim Naegels ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matheus Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Van Beersel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Waldemar Faria's late challenge caught a Kickers United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldemar Faria helped the player get up and apologised. Luiz Henrique kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Manfredo Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfredo Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anthonio Van Bets breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Severino Soares came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Clube Atlético Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Soares couldn't finish the play. Waldemar Faria hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Stijn Dheedene could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Matheus Carvalho made a huge save. When Jamie Lembrechts fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kickers United's protests and gave Jamie Lembrechts a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute of the match Yuri Marquez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anthonio Van Bets skillfully saved the ball. In the 86th minute, Kauan Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Severino Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anthonio Van Bets having to make a save. In the 89th minute, Simon Cheepers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Clube Atlético Paulista getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Pedro Paulo Massa hit a great ball. Luiz Henrique recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clube Atlético Paulista were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kickers United for a fine match.
