Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Soares in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Squadra Demarchi's Paulinho Paraibano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matheus Carvalho. Matheus Carvalho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Luiz Henrique had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Soares in the 14th minute of play. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute of the match, Kléber Queirós got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matheus Carvalho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marquinhos Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Saldanha having to interfere. Squadra Demarchi's Oscar Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Pena in the 26th minute of play. Kléber Queirós took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matheus Carvalho. Matheus Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Evaristo Gaúcho lost his temper 36 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Clube Atlético Paulista getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Evaristo Gaúcho hit a great ball. Richard Moura struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Matheus Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Squadra Demarchi. Oscar Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Soares's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Severino Soares sped through Squadra Demarchi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oscar Saldanha. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Soares was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when Clube Atlético Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matheus Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Paraibano in the 58th minute of play. If Kauan Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matheus Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Paraibano in the 62nd minute of play. Severino Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Oscar Saldanha made a huge save. Clube Atlético Paulista's Allan Bertassi was substituted for Eduardo Cabral. In a very dangerous position, a player in Squadra Demarchi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! 96 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Queirós came free, but Matheus Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Squadra Demarchi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Clube Atlético Paulista were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
