Kickers United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Van Beersel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Brodel hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Fred Van Beersel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Délio Tepedino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Walmyr de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Fred Van Beersel in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Délio Tepedino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 60 minutes into the match, Fred Van Beersel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Délio Tepedino. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fred Van Beersel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 63rd minute, Wanderson Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Cheepers charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 88th minute, Kickers United's Joachim Naegels dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. 91 minutes into the game, Kickers United's Fred Van Beersel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
