An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Bogdanin in the 25th minute of play forced Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Ahmid Lamouroux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doychin Dikovski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of FC LEVSKI ОК:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cosa nostra Lyon:s goal. Stavri Kúrshev charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steven Lebreton made a kick off. Stavri Kúrshev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Ahmid Lamouroux when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brice Idoux in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radomir Yonchev saved FC LEVSKI ОК from getting behind.
