The Lipochσrion FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bornova's Kerim Sav played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Mavrofridis in the 7th minute of play. Paraskevas Chronis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Kerim Sav tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bornova booed when Lipochσrion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Aggelopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimitris Pirtsos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdullatif Siralp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lipochσrion FC's Thodoris Vlastarakis got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 33 played minutes Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Abdullatif Siralp. Halit Tokgöz hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vassilis Mavrofridis in the 44th minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Kerim Sav to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boran Mümtaz made a kick off. Kerim Sav made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thodoris Vlastarakis in the 56th minute. In the 58th match minute, Lipochσrion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thodoris Vlastarakis to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vassilis Mavrofridis in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kerim Sav prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Lipochσrion FC booed when Bornova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halit Tokgöz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vassilis Mavrofridis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kerim Sav came out and tried to block the shot, but Vassilis Mavrofridis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 71st minute. 79 minutes into the game, Lipochσrion FC's Thodoris Vlastarakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kerim Sav made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After having played for 82 minutes, Thodoris Vlastarakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lipochσrion FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thodoris Vlastarakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 played minutes Lipochσrion FC got a freekick which was hit by Eleftherios Kokkalis. If Giorgos Aggelopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kerim Sav was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Vassilis Mavrofridis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vassilis Mavrofridis really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After a rather tough play, Bornova's Cafer Sonalp got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Bornova fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lipochσrion FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
