The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Bertioga's goalkeeper Toninho Trancoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Hernan Ruy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Social y Dep. Patagonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Ruy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th match minute, Social y Dep. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Galoer to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, Wilson Favoretto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Bertioga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Social y Dep. Patagonia the free kick. Wilson Favoretto hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Social y Dep. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Galoer to maneuver through the defense. After 20 minutes, Hernan Ruy made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Bertioga's Toninho Trancoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Social y Dep. Patagonia fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Social y Dep. Patagonia's Hernan Ruy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eusebio Marz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Favoretto in the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Social y Dep. Patagonia booed when SC Bertioga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Bermudez in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Hernan Ruy notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of SC Bertioga's Toninho Trancoso. Toninho Trancoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Hernan Ruy lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Toninho Trancoso. Hernan Bermudez's late challenge caught a SC Bertioga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernan Bermudez helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Social y Dep. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Bermudez. The audience was convinced that Hernan Ruy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toninho Trancoso was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After 62 played minutes SC Bertioga got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Favoretto. After 65 played minutes Social y Dep. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Bertran. The Social y Dep. Patagonia fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Social y Dep. Patagonia's Hernan Ruy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Donato Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Social y Dep. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Galoer to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute of the match, Jose Isidor got a very nice opportunity to score, but Toninho Trancoso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 86 minutes SC Bertioga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bartolo Bertran who took care of the corner kick. Toninho Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Bermudez in the 90th minute of play. Hernan Ruy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Social y Dep. Patagonia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
