Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brad Missen started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes, Wilson Favoretto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Bertioga and the Elderslie Magpies players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bebeto Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Brad Missen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Meirelles came free, but Corder Clubley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Favoretto in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute Wilson Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corder Clubley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raleigh Dale's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro de Mendonça firmly grabbed it by the left post. Brad Missen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Elderslie Magpies's Ed Howard got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Donato Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raleigh Dale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro de Mendonça having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Bertioga's Pedro de Mendonça got control of the ball when Raleigh Dale tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Favoretto in the 33rd minute of play. Raleigh Dale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elderslie Magpies's Carlton Kaine got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ed Howard to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raleigh Dale got free with Pedro de Mendonça in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilson Favoretto made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Byron Osbiston. In the 53rd minute Wilson Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corder Clubley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Elderslie Magpies from getting a goal against them. Raleigh Dale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Pedro de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Brad Missen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elderslie Magpies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Elderslie Magpies's zone, Wilton Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corder Clubley came out of the goal and Wilton Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corder Clubley made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Wilson Favoretto sent off a good shot on target. After 72 minutes of play, SC Bertioga's Wilson Favoretto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corder Clubley was left in no man's land by his defense there! 75 minutes into the game, Brad Missen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Pedro de Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Wilson Favoretto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corder Clubley was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Corder Clubley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marquinhos Meirelles. In the 81st minute Brad Missen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Kale Mcinnis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson Favoretto got free with Corder Clubley in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corder Clubley made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Wilson Favoretto sent off a good shot on target. With 93 minutes on the clock, Byron Osbiston commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 93rd minute, one of Elderslie Magpies:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Elderslie Magpies.
