An unexpectedly hard shot by Aprígio Campos in the 4th minute of play forced Greenbay's goalkeeper Alfie Nethercot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 played minutes Greenbay got a freekick which was hit by Lennie Nelthorpe. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aprígio Campos in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfie Nethercot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Filipe Ventura managed to get in a good position for a shot. VB-Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Ventura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfie Nethercot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfie Nethercot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Ventura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Greenbay's Alfie Nethercot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Greenbay from getting a goal against them. After 44 played minutes Greenbay got a freekick which was hit by Jamal Sills. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jamal Sills made the kick off in the second half. Alfie Nethercot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Ventura in the 52nd minute of play. Bento Prestes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. With a little luck, VB-Team's Afonso Domingues got control of the ball when Jamal Sills tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Aprígio Campos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfie Nethercot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aprígio Campos in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute Aprígio Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfie Nethercot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfie Nethercot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aprígio Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 minutes of play, VB-Team's Aprígio Campos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The supporters of VB-Team booed when Greenbay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamal Sills didn't get a good kick on the ball. VB-Team's Bento Prestes got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Bento Prestes off the ground. In the 77th minute, Junior Leadbeater hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute Filipe Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfie Nethercot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfie Nethercot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Ventura in the 80th minute of play. Afonso Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Huckerby, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Alfie Nethercot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aprígio Campos in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Greenbay's zone, Mauro Barata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfie Nethercot came out of the goal and Mauro Barata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. VB-Team were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
