The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mykyta Burdiyan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmund Komornicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Mariusz Borowski took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mykyta Burdiyan. Mykyta Burdiyan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mykyta Burdiyan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariusz Borowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Mariusz Borowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mykyta Burdiyan. FC Kolos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariusz Borowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 15 minutes into the game, Jakub Ankiewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Mykyta Burdiyan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Zielonka Gdansk's Tolek Makarewicz got control of the ball when Ivan Balyuk tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yakiv Chyzhevskyi in the 20th minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Tolek Makarewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mykyta Burdiyan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariusz Borowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Dariusz Ciempa made a precise shot to the right of Mykyta Burdiyan. FC Kolos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Zielonka Gdansk's Gilbert Pietras got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Komornicki in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Kolos's goalkeeper Mykyta Burdiyan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mykyta Burdiyan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Borowski in the 38th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Kolos defense, Mariusz Borowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mykyta Burdiyan. The FC Kolos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mykyta Burdiyan should have stopped the shot.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Datsenko during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Zielonka Gdansk booed when FC Kolos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Datsenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Kolos's Mykyta Burdiyan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kolos from getting a goal against them. Zielonka Gdansk's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Korneliusz Frankowski in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Jakub Ankiewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zielonka Gdansk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kolos the free kick. In the 60th match minute, Zielonka Gdansk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakub Ankiewicz to maneuver through the defense. FC Kolos's Yakiv Chyzhevskyi got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dmytro Bogdaniv recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maciej Zdrojowy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Mykyta Burdiyan made a huge save. A collision led to Zielonka Gdansk getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Dariusz Ciempa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yakiv Chyzhevskyi in the 76th minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Tolek Makarewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolek Makarewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yakiv Chyzhevskyi in the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Zielonka Gdansk got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Komornicki. After 83 played minutes, FC Kolos's Symon Isakov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tolek Makarewicz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Kolos reached it. 85 minutes into the match, FC Kolos's goalkeeper Mykyta Burdiyan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jakub Ankiewicz. In the 85th minute, Jakub Ankiewicz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mykyta Burdiyan. The goal made the score 1-6. Mariusz Borowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Zielonka Gdansk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zielonka Gdansk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
