Alexsandro Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- defense, Wesley de Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Haroldo Recife. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Haroldo Recife should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute, Joaquim de Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Alexsandro Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim de Queirós in the 25th minute of play. Alexsandro Bezerra came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Luiz Eduardo Domingues. But to his dismay, Luiz Eduardo Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Royal Knights FC's Alexsandro Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Domingues in the 31st minute of play. After 39 played minutes Royal Knights FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Freitas. In the 40th minute, Carlos Augusto Mazza made a precise shot to the right of Alexsandro Bezerra. Royal Knights FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After 46 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Domingues. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Albertinho Eger made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Albertinho Eger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Knights FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Albertinho Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Haroldo Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Royal Knights FC's Alexsandro Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Falcão in the 67th minute of play. After 73 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Veiga. Betinho Dantas lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 75th minute, one of Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-. The goalkeeper, Haroldo Recife, was totally fooled by Royal Knights FC's Wiliam Sanches, who 79 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Carlos Augusto Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Royal Knights FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bruninho Alcântara hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Sanches in the 94th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Haroldo Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley de Mendonça in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fully deserved thier win.
