The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Mourão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of EL CERVECERO F.C. booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Éder Rios didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisito Aragones hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Morais in the 40th minute of play forced EL CERVECERO F.C.'s goalkeeper Jorge Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isac Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Roque Cordarryl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 70th minute, Aquiles Ferrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Nóbrega took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Pelayo. Jorge Pelayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 75 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Isac Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Pelayo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Isac Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. EL CERVECERO F.C.'s Elpidio Udalaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when EL CERVECERO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Dimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Silvano Morais couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for EL CERVECERO F.C.. Silvano Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The EL CERVECERO F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
