Guto Mineiro's late challenge caught a Sporting Royal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guto Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nitra FC booed when Sporting Royal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Băcioiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes, Felix Stolniciu made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nitra FC's André Luiz Koehler tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Sporting Royal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 38 minutes into the game, Sporting Royal's Paul Rainea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luiz Koehler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 43rd minute, Felix Stolniciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Nitra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Stolniciu came free, but André Luiz Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Stolniciu in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Luiz Koehler saved Nitra FC from getting behind. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed André Luiz Koehler as he didn't even see the shot coming. André Luiz Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigore Pacurar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
