The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Valentine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Alfredão de Medeiros made a huge save. 6 minutes into the game, Angelo Valentine recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfredão de Medeiros. Angelo Valentine showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Penha during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Atletico Fenix booed when Sandinense ADF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Carlos Haimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, Sandinense ADF's Yuri Terra made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisito Amor was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Sandinense ADF getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Egídio Vale hit a great ball. Joel Penha got his second yellow card in the match during the 22nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Angelo Valentine was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cleto Dalmu's late challenge caught a Sandinense ADF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleto Dalmu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Cleto Dalmu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ramón Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. Alfredão de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Valentine made a kick off. Carlos Haimar took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredão de Medeiros. Alfredão de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Epifanio Guifre kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Angelo Valentine took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredão de Medeiros. Alfredão de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramón Hoffmann got free with Luisito Amor in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 70 played minutes Club Atletico Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Julio Matro. Angelo Valentine took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredão de Medeiros. Alfredão de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. If Ramón Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cipriano Castulo during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luisito Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandão Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The supporters of Sandinense ADF booed when Club Atletico Fenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Castulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Club Atletico Fenix players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
