A very good chance for a goal. If Yuri Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sandinense ADF's Egídio Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, VfL Wolfsburg's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Hoffmann came free, but Per-Olof Bengtsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ramón Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sandinense ADF's protests and gave Ramón Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Ramón Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Alfredão de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Morat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuri Terra struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Per-Olof Bengtsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandinense ADF. The supporters of VfL Wolfsburg booed when Sandinense ADF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredão de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Gunnarsson in the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Malcolm Morat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Despite being the better team, VfL Wolfsburg failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
