When Jonas Ticho fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gelp 22's protests and gave Jonas Ticho a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Gelp 22 got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Ticho. In the 13th minute, Reynaldo Harkaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Gelp 22 defense, Bruno Cordarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnoldo Salamon. The Gelp 22 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnoldo Salamon should have stopped the shot. Leandro Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Salamon having to interfere. Reynaldo Harkaitz charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Harkaitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vinicio Muc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Evelio Seber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Muc in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Expresso Ranelagh's zone, Vinicio Muc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evelio Seber came out of the goal and Vinicio Muc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th match minute, Gelp 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Muc to maneuver through the defense. Arnoldo Salamon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Cordarin in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute Cirilo Fraco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Salamon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Raimundo Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Cirilo Fraco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arnoldo Salamon, passed just outside the right post. In the 63rd minute, Vinicio Muc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cirilo Fraco might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnoldo Salamon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Fraco ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Cordarin got free with Arnoldo Salamon in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cirilo Fraco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Arnoldo Salamon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when Godofredo Jerrold put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Gelp 22:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Expresso Ranelagh:s goal. In the 79th minute, Bruno Cordarin made a precise shot to the right of Arnoldo Salamon. Gelp 22's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Jonas Ticho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Eutor in the 92nd minute of play forced Gelp 22's goalkeeper Arnoldo Salamon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Ticho hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Bruno Cordarin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnoldo Salamon firmly grabbed it by the left post. Expresso Ranelagh's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
