After 22 played minutes Motala got a freekick which was hit by Jack Eklund. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Michael Åhlberg in the 23rd minute of play forced Motala's goalkeeper Åke Björling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Motala's Åke Björling got control of the ball when Adrian Bergqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Motala's Karl-Oskar Skoog got a free kick in the 30th minute. The long shot by Michel Törnblom in the 31st minute really tested Åke Björling's skills. Åke Björling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Åhlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Motala's Jack Eklund got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The Motala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Åke Björling should have stopped the shot. Motala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Michael Åhlberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 89th match minute, Motala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Kinell to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Hugo Kalfhage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Björling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
