Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Gaston Abancens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Björling was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dick Danielsson during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Motala got a freekick which was hit by Dick Danielsson. In the 12th minute Cesar Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Björling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Motala's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roman Donio was slow to take the kick. During this time Alvarado de Mar del Plata's players had a chance to rest. Åke Björling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Abancens in the 16th minute of the match. Reine Wallander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Mark having to interfere. Åke Björling came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Roman Donio. But to his dismay, Roman Donio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Cesar Jenaro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Motala's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Gaston Abancens notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Motala's Åke Björling. Åke Björling was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Åke Björling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Chago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jack Eklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Jack Eklund made the kick off in the second half. Åke Björling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Atarrabi in the 54th minute. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Adrian Jaunti got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Mano in the 60th minute of play forced Motala's goalkeeper Åke Björling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaston Abancens during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Motala booed when Alvarado de Mar del Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Abancens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Abancens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Åke Björling made a huge save. Åke Björling was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Honorio Mano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 72 minute of play. If Honorio Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jack Eklund's late challenge caught a Alvarado de Mar del Plata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jack Eklund helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Jack Eklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Motala's goalkeeper Åke Björling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Atarrabi. In the 97th minute, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Gaston Abancens dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. The Motala fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alvarado de Mar del Plata were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
