The referee showed Simon Kinell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Motala's Simon Kinell got a free kick in the 13th minute. Åke Björling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edy Cabanis, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Edy Cabanis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Björling having to make a save. Edy Cabanis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Björling having to interfere. Higinio Garikoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Eklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Åke Björling was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ceferino Beltxe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. When Torsten Alin fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motala's protests and gave Torsten Alin a yellow card for diving instead. ATE AFC's Marcelo Jon was substituted for Gustavo Librić. After 72 played minutes Motala got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Alin. The audience cheered when Aurelio Batista's long shot passed Åke Björling's right side. It was 3-0, 73 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Daniel Glad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Marcelo Jon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Björling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Marcelo Jon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Åke Björling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ATE AFC fully deserved thier win.
