Kaj Pilblad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haimar Fuentes in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute Edvard Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alatz March saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lluc Rossello hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th match minute, Real Matrei FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Svensson to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Error Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaj Pilblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Ramos's late challenge caught a Downchester City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Downchester City booed when Real Matrei FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Kaj Pilblad throw himself and got hold of the ball when Error Quintana in the 19thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 22nd minute, Error Quintana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Downchester City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alatz March stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvard Svensson's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Haimar Fuentes scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaj Pilblad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute Error Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaj Pilblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Haimar Fuentes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaj Pilblad. Real Matrei FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haimar Fuentes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A well-hit corner resulted in Östen Hedlund heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Downchester City's Alatz March played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Östen Hedlund in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Downchester City's Roger Palomares got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A hard shot by Isac Björk from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Alatz March's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 64 minutes into the match, Downchester City's Haimar Fuentes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaj Pilblad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th match minute, Real Matrei FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Berglund to maneuver through the defense. Haimar Fuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kaj Pilblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Real Matrei FC's Edvard Svensson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alatz March narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Real Matrei FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haimar Fuentes came free, but Kaj Pilblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaj Pilblad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haimar Fuentes in the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Downchester City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Matrei FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
