The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Delphine Stars getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Nandriș couldn't finish the play. Costică Vărzaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. George Cînu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Delphine Stars's Marcu Loghin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Nandriș in the 25th minute of play. Rova Rosiori were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Delphine Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Răzvan Nandriș took the corner. The corner ended in Răzvan Nandriș almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Delphine Stars's Marcu Loghin did a great save. After a rather tough play, Rova Rosiori's Grigore Pogea got a free kick in the 29th minute. Ionel Prisecaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Rădoi in the 30th minute. After 35 played minutes, Rova Rosiori's Răzvan Nandriș shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcu Loghin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rova Rosiori reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodor Sava made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Delphine Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Gorcea to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th match minute, Delphine Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Ciorăscu to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd match minute, Rova Rosiori was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ioan Angheluș to maneuver through the defense. The referee ignored Delphine Stars's protests and gave Costică Ciorăscu a yellow card for diving instead. Rova Rosiori's Codrin Rădoi was substituted for Teodor Sava. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Delphine Stars:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rova Rosiori:s goal. 77 minutes into the match, Costică Vărzaru notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Rova Rosiori's Ionel Prisecaru. Ionel Prisecaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Delphine Stars's Marcu Loghin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Rădoi in the 81st minute of play. Marian Taşcău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ionel Prisecaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costică Vărzaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristinel Agrigoroaiei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Marcu Loghin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
