Spectators: 7654 (Terracing: 5742, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Samuca do Nascimento started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Alves. Ernani Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Taşcău, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcu Loghin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca do Nascimento in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Costică Vărzaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sipo EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Marian Taşcău scored to the left of an out of position Ernani Cerezo, making the score, 1-0. Mugur Gorcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcu Loghin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Cruz in the 19th minute of the match. Wágner do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Ernani Cerezo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costică Vărzaru in the 23rd minute. In the 33rd minute Thiago Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcu Loghin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sipo EC's zone, Costică Vărzaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Cerezo came out of the goal and Costică Vărzaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Tiberiu in the 38th minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Ernani Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Tiberiu made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Delphine Stars's zone, Thiago Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcu Loghin came out of the goal and Thiago Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernani Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugur Gorcea, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Emanuel Tiberiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernani Cerezo. Sipo EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Tiberiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Marian Taşcău took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernani Cerezo. Ernani Cerezo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Sipo EC's Ernani Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Vărzaru in the 78th minute of play. Marian Taşcău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Marian Taşcău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes, Victor Mahonea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Delphine Stars and the Sipo EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Mahonea kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Delphine Stars fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sipo EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
