The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cebo Morejon was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Perico Porregimon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fermin Santos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Club Olimpia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Medero Quevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 minutes of play, Atlético Nacional's Eleuterio Efren made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cordeal Pantojas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Club Olimpia's Cordeal Pantojas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Precioso in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Club Olimpia booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Geleberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Nacional's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
