Jânio Prestes might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fermin Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pangarés FC's Rony Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Manni in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Jeremias Manex ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rony Antunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Paulo Salbatore kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. With a little luck, Atlético Nacional's Fermin Santos got control of the ball when Natã Luz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute, Godofredo Manni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Rony Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Precioso in the 14th minute of the match. Rony Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Manni, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Atlético Nacional's Godofredo Manni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rony Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Dalmacio Tab hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Atlético Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Paiva came free, but Fermin Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Precioso in the 27th minute of play forced Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Rony Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Manex, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Rony Antunes came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Nacional's Ignacio Confesor. But to his dismay, Ignacio Confesor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 35th minute, Eleuterio Efren made a precise shot to the right of Rony Antunes. Pangarés FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 40th minute, Guto Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Rony Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rony Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Manex in the 43rd minute of play. Godofredo Manni took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rony Antunes. Rony Antunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natã Luz was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Atlético Nacional getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Paulo Salbatore hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes Atlético Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Tab. After recieving a nice pass, Pangarés FC's Afonsinho de Senna tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Pangarés FC booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Abel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute Filiberto Precioso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rony Antunes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filiberto Precioso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 68 minute of play. In the 71st minute Filiberto Precioso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Pangarés FC got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Paiva. Godofredo Manni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Rony Antunes made a huge save. 79 minutes into the game, Moises Abel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rony Antunes. Moises Abel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. 83 minutes into the match, Godofredo Manni dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rony Antunes, 0-10. When the match was over Atlético Nacional could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pangarés FC throughout the match.
