Jan-Erik Bengtsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Henry Säf kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Artur Chaves. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Jan-Erik Bengtsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toninho Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Toninho Ceresso sped through Asdfgh's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan-Erik Bengtsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Edvaldo dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motta Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvaldo dos Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Erik Bengtsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toninho Ceresso in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan-Erik Bengtsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-Erik Bengtsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toninho Ceresso went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 23 minutes, William Jacinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motta Futebol Clube and the Asdfgh players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, William Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Toninho Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jan-Erik Bengtsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the match, Kaká Salles notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Asdfgh's Jan-Erik Bengtsson. Jan-Erik Bengtsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 34th play minutes Toninho Ceresso shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Jan-Erik Bengtsson and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Ceresso in the 38th minute of play forced Asdfgh's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Bengtsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Motta Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by William Jacinto. In the 44th minute Toninho Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Bengtsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Motta Futebol Clube's Válter Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henry Säf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Toninho Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Asdfgh's Jan-Erik Bengtsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Cícero Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Asdfgh's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jean Pirani was slow to take the kick. During this time Motta Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. In the 62nd minute, Toninho Ceresso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jan-Erik Bengtsson. The goal made the score 1-6. Kaká Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Bengtsson having to interfere. Toninho Ceresso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 67th playminute. In the 80th match minute, Asdfgh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Svanberg to maneuver through the defense. Toninho Ceresso took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Erik Bengtsson. Jan-Erik Bengtsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. When Jerônimo Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Motta Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerônimo Sousa couldn't finish the play. Arvid Bruse kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jan-Erik Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Pirani in the 92nd minute of play. When Motta Futebol Clube's Toninho Ceresso in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Asdfgh's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Kaká Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motta Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Motta Futebol Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
