Stars Academy were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Yalapa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandre Infante took the corner. The corner ended in Alexandre Infante almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yalapa's Everardo Sal did a great save. Everardo Sal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cândido Fagundes in the 7th minute of play. Everardo Sal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Fagundes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Amado Leite cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. The Stars Academy fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Stars Academy's Amado Leite looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Antero Rebocho hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Eudoxio came free, but Almiro Benevides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Amado Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Yalapa booed when Stars Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Homero Brochado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amado Leite to make the kick off. Natalio Belmiro's late challenge caught a Stars Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natalio Belmiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Yalapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Belmiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rdth minute of the game Armando Padro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Eudoxio in the 59th minute of play. Almiro Benevides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Gaston in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match, Antero Rebocho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Everardo Sal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Stars Academy's Almiro Benevides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Eudoxio in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Stars Academy's Raul Faria got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Almiro Benevides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Eudoxio in the 84th minute of the match. Almiro Benevides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Gaston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everardo Sal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antero Rebocho, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Stars Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Anier Eudoxio came free, but Almiro Benevides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Yalapa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Stars Academy's performance. The match ended with a win for Stars Academy.
