Simon Reed made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Bernardo Couto sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylvester Riggs in the 25th minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Paulo Esparteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Telmo Miguéiss short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Simon Reed to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Brendan McGinnis hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Telmo Miguéis had several of the ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Simon Reed as he didn't even see the shot coming. Delta FS's José Toscano suffered a sore thigh after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jermaine Corey charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jermaine Corey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆ getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jermaine Corey hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Adolfo Ramalho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Simon Reed didn't even have to move. Delta FS's Bernardo Couto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 42nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Patrício Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delta FS's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrício Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Reed breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the game, ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Sylvester Riggs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Esparteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sylvester Riggs to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonas Wiseman struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Paulo Esparteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆. After a rather tough play, ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Ronnie Sutherland got a free kick in the 62nd minute. With his leg Paulo Esparteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Sylvester Riggs fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Patrício Saldanha hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Paulo Esparteiro made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Jonas Wiseman sent off a good shot on target. Sylvester Riggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sylvester Riggs came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylvester Riggs couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Lucas Vilar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Ronnie Sutherland got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Wiseman got free with Paulo Esparteiro in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s zone, Patrício Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Reed came out of the goal and Patrício Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bernardo Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
