In the 6th minute, Andrézinho Penha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Esparteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Kevin Paião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Fabiano Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Ramalho in the 10th minute of play. Pedrão Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adolfo Ramalho took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Fabiano Mesquita. Luís Fabiano Mesquita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 26 minutes into the game, Murilo Pestana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Delta FS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG the free kick. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Murilo Pestana hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Flavinho Abraão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Esparteiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Enéas de Castro hit a great ball. José Carlos Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Paulo Esparteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Abraão in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Delta FS got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Couto. Murilo Pestana struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Luís Fabiano Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Delta FS. After 47 minutes, Hamílton Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG and the Delta FS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Delta FS booed when Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Flavinho Abraão made the kick off in the second half. Paulo Esparteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Vito Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Flavinho Abraão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Esparteiro. Delta FS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavinho Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Luís Fabiano Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Paião in the 65th minute of the match. Paulo Esparteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Antunes in the 68th minute of play. Murilo Pestana got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Delta FS's Murilo Pestana got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Bernardo Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Delta FS got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Ramalho. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Luís Fabiano Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Ramalho in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Andrézinho Penha hit a great ball. Otávio Antunes's late challenge caught a Delta FS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Otávio Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. Otávio Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Delta FS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. When Flavinho Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho Abraão couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Luís Fabiano Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Patrício Saldanha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Delta FS's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG had won, even though Delta FS had held more of the ball.
