In the 13th match minute, FC Steaua Pildesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rareș Ficsinescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Rareș Ficsinescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aquilino Pasqual. Aquilino Pasqual yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rafael Roldanillo's late challenge caught a FC Steaua Pildesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Roldanillo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Rafael Roldanillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Martin de Tucuman's Aquilino Pasqual played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mircea Isvoreanu in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to San Martin de Tucuman getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Flavio Blai hit a great ball. Flavio Blai kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Mircea Isvoreanu had several of the San Martin de Tucuman's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 26 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Aquilino Pasqual as he didn't even see the shot coming. Aquilino Pasqual was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Adam Buș capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adam Buș really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Valer Cobâlcescu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Rareș Ficsinescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aquilino Pasqual. Aquilino Pasqual yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. 37 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Blai came free, but Eric Frântu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Epifanio Paulin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. San Martin de Tucuman's Aquilino Pasqual proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save San Martin de Tucuman from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mircea Isvoreanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Aquilino Pasqual showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Vlăsiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Eric Frântu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Epifanio Paulin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 55 minute of play. San Martin de Tucuman's Aquilino Pasqual played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Vlăsiu in the 60th minute of play. Gheorghe Vlăsiu struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Aquilino Pasqual didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Steaua Pildesti. Aquilino Pasqual took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Buș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Valer Cobâlcescu hit a great ball. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Cobâlcescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Eric Frântu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Hondo. After some careless play in the San Martin de Tucuman defense, Gheorghe Vlăsiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aquilino Pasqual. The San Martin de Tucuman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aquilino Pasqual should have stopped the shot. German Berto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Frântu having to make a save. 89 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Blai came free, but Eric Frântu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Steaua Pildesti players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
