With an all-out effort, San Martin de Tucuman's Tomas Olazarra threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo Ixona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 15 minutes into the game, Florian Secanell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aquilino Pasqual was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 played minutes El Pinar got a freekick which was hit by Florian Secanell. San Martin de Tucuman's Anselmo Ixona got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Txerran Maceda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, San Martin de Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Teyo to maneuver through the defense. Cordarrol Montez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goalkeeper Tomas Olazarra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Epifanio Paulin. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Epifanio Paulin got a free kick in the 36th minute. A collision led to San Martin de Tucuman getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Flavio Blai hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, San Martin de Tucuman's Anselmo Ixona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomas Olazarra. Tomas Olazarra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Blai to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavio Blai in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Olazarra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavio Blai scored 2-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Olazarra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Roldanillo came free, but Tomas Olazarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Flavio Blai notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of El Pinar's Tomas Olazarra. Tomas Olazarra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Pinar's goalkeeper Tomas Olazarra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Olazarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Weather in the 74th minute of play. Guib Sota's late challenge caught a San Martin de Tucuman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guib Sota helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes El Pinar got a freekick which was hit by Guib Sota. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. German Berto replaced Alfonso Weather. In the 78th match minute, El Pinar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guib Sota to maneuver through the defense. After 80 minutes of play, San Martin de Tucuman's German Berto made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomas Olazarra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Olazarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Berto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Berto struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Blai in the 94th minute of play forced El Pinar's goalkeeper Tomas Olazarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the San Martin de Tucuman players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
