Spectators: 6736 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 0) FC Steaua Pildesti's Gheorghe Vlăsiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Billy Dahlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gudhem's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Dahlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Frântu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Buș came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Mircea Isvoreanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Sverker Lindgren came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Steaua Pildesti's Gheorghe Vlăsiu. But to his dismay, Gheorghe Vlăsiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Billy Dahlberg hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Vlăsiu came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Vali Dinculescu got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the Gudhem defense, Rareș Ficsinescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sverker Lindgren. The Gudhem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sverker Lindgren should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the match, Gudhem's goal looked a bit too open when Rareș Ficsinescu came free, but Sverker Lindgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sverker Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Isvoreanu in the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mircea Isvoreanu in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sverker Lindgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Samuel Sundberg fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gudhem's protests and gave Samuel Sundberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Gudhem got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Sundberg. 41 minutes into the match, Mircea Isvoreanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sverker Lindgren. Gudhem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mircea Isvoreanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Sverker Lindgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mircea Isvoreanu went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billy Dahlberg made a kick off. In the 51st minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Adam Buș dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. In the 58th minute of the match, Adam Buș tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sverker Lindgren saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sverker Lindgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Ficsinescu in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Mircea Isvoreanu could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Sverker Lindgren however easily saved by the left post. If Adam Buș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gudhem's Carl Wästerberg got a free kick in the 64th minute. Vali Dinculescu's late challenge caught a Gudhem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vali Dinculescu helped the player get up and apologised. 77 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Vlăsiu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sverker Lindgren. Gheorghe Vlăsiu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Adam Buș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Lindgren having to interfere. After some careless play in the Gudhem defense, Rareș Ficsinescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sverker Lindgren. The Gudhem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sverker Lindgren should have stopped the shot. Adam Buș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Gudhem fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Steaua Pildesti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
