Spectators: 7518 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomás Cerqueira kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Sorci Viola booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Conde didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Federico Dionisi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Cerqueira in the 5th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Dennis Calcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferruccio Cordone in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Artur Curado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garanhão do SUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorci Viola the free kick. In the 12th minute, Artur Curado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garanhão do SUL's Raimundo Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Cordone in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Dennis Calcio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 0-1 became the score in the 20th minute when Tomás Cerqueira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dennis Calcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrício Poças in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Tomás Cerqueira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sorci Viola's Dennis Calcio. Dennis Calcio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patrício Poças took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dennis Calcio. Dennis Calcio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Dennis Calcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrício Poças in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Patrício Poças shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Calcio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortunato Pizziolo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferruccio Cordone was the one to do the kick off. Dennis Calcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Cerqueira in the 55th minute of play. In the 61st minute Alvaro Gori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Curado kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Sorci Viola's Dennis Calcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Cerqueira in the 64th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tomás Cerqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garanhão do SUL's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Cerqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Calcio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferruccio Cordone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Delgado having to interfere. The Garanhão do SUL players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
