In the 7th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dom Mortlock to maneuver through the defense. Juarês Cardoso charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juarês Cardoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Caskinha Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético de Newell's Kasey Gobey got a free kick in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Matthew Edwards had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juarês Cardoso. Umberto França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasey Gobey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto França stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfred Barnfield's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Dom Mortlock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Ollie Bright made a precise shot to the right of Umberto França. Caskinha Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Benji Kay scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Umberto França, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Umberto França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasey Gobey, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When Zackary Dixon fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético de Newell's protests and gave Zackary Dixon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Caskinha Esporte Clube booed when Club Atlético de Newell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackary Dixon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Club Atlético de Newell were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Barnfield made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Alfred Barnfield tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Umberto França saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Caskinha Esporte Clube's Umberto França proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Caskinha Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. Club Atlético de Newell's Benji Kay got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Kasey Gobey took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Umberto França. Caskinha Esporte Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Umberto França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Barnfield in the 59th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Club Atlético de Newell got a freekick which was hit by Kasey Gobey. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Barnfield in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Umberto França prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th play minute Dom Mortlock came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Umberto França. 0-4. 72 minutes into the game, Ollie Bright cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Umberto França was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dom Mortlock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Barnfield in the 79th minute of play forced Caskinha Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Umberto França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spike Lambley hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Caskinha Esporte Clube's Umberto França proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Caskinha Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. Umberto França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Barnfield in the 90th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético de Newell's Alfred Barnfield slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto França. That made the score 0-6 after 94 minutes of play. The Caskinha Esporte Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Atlético de Newell were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
