Billy Bolin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 26 minutes into the game, FC Chorchoj's Vladimír Adam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billy Bolin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Otokar Voda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reine Kalfhage in the 30th minute of play. Herbert Sellberg took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otokar Voda. Otokar Voda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Hynek Parák might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billy Bolin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hynek Parák ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to FC Chorchoj getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Milan Burián hit a great ball. With his leg Otokar Voda managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when White Hart Lane's Reine Kalfhage fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Vladimír Adam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimír Adam to make the kick off. Otakar Šuráň received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Billy Bolin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olov Alefors charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olov Alefors the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes White Hart Lane got a freekick which was hit by Olov Alefors. 57 minutes into the game, White Hart Lane's Lars-Erik Bergsten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Vladimír Adam kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Billy Bolin. That made the score 2-4 in the 60 minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, FC Chorchoj's Milan Burián sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Billy Bolin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, White Hart Lane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Jakobsson to maneuver through the defense. Billy Bolin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimír Adam, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 73 played minutes White Hart Lane got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Sellberg. When Otakar Šuráň fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Chorchoj's protests and gave Otakar Šuráň a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of White Hart Lane booed when FC Chorchoj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otakar Šuráň didn't get a good kick on the ball. Billy Bolin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimír Adam in the 88th minute. In the 91st match minute, White Hart Lane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Hult to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, FC Chorchoj's goal looked a bit too open when Reine Kalfhage came free, but Otokar Voda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Otakar Šuráň got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The White Hart Lane fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Chorchoj were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
