Spectators: 7523 (Terracing: 5643, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) Club Atlético de Newell's Alfred Barnfield started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Edwards in the 5th minute of play forced WAL Family United Team's goalkeeper Ruben Dorronsoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ollie Bright fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Dorronsoro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in WAL Family United Team's zone, Kris Delaney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Dorronsoro came out of the goal and Kris Delaney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicanor Poves's late challenge caught a Club Atlético de Newell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Poves helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes WAL Family United Team got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Poves. Basil Holden kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Club Atlético de Newell's Billy Sawbridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Obiano in the 31st minute of play. When Matthew Edwards came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Club Atlético de Newell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthew Edwards couldn't finish the play. Alfred Barnfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ollie Bright hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Alfred Barnfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ruben Dorronsoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Club Atlético de Newell were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to WAL Family United Team getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Waldir Bouceda hit a great ball. Ruben Dorronsoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Medley in the 53rd minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, WAL Family United Team's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Medley came free, but Ruben Dorronsoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Totakoxe Geras's late challenge caught a Club Atlético de Newell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Totakoxe Geras helped the player get up and apologised. Totakoxe Geras kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Ollie Bright recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Dorronsoro. Ollie Bright showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After some careless play in the WAL Family United Team defense, Alfred Barnfield kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruben Dorronsoro. The WAL Family United Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruben Dorronsoro should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute Enekoitz Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Sawbridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Billy Sawbridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enekoitz Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Delaney to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shane Medley to maneuver through the defense. If Enekoitz Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Dorronsoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ollie Bright in the 93rd minute of the match. The Club Atlético de Newell players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
