After a rather tough play, Escuadrón Mercenario's Diego Armando Goetschi got a free kick in the 11th minute. Escuadrón Mercenario's Sanduru Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Eger in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Ferreira Lopes MZC booed when Escuadrón Mercenario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herena Abellaneda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pabla Abeijon struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Filipe Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escuadrón Mercenario. If Natanael Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes of play, Escuadrón Mercenario's Toro Abalos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filipe Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Filipe Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toro Abalos. Sanduru Aballe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Sanduru Aballe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Magalhães in the 36th minute of the match. Escuadrón Mercenario's Herena Abellaneda got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Herena Abellaneda off the ground. Herena Abellaneda hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Escuadrón Mercenario's zone, Natanael Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sanduru Aballe came out of the goal and Natanael Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Escuadrón Mercenario booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Florencio Abaurre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escuadrón Mercenario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Abaurre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Natanael Bittencourt sped through Escuadrón Mercenario's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sanduru Aballe. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Pabla Abeijon made the kick off in the second half. Doni Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Sanduru Aballe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrézinho Magalhães in the 56th minute. During the 59th minute of the match Diego Armando Goetschi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Diego Armando Goetschi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sanduru Aballe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Andrézinho Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Sanduru Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelson Cearense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sanduru Aballe having to make a save. After 92 minutes of play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Andrézinho Magalhães made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sanduru Aballe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sanduru Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Magalhães in the 95th minute of play. Sanduru Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Abaurre in the 98th minute of play forced Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Filipe Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ferreira Lopes MZC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
