When Paulo Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferreira Lopes MZC's protests and gave Paulo Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Queirós. Nelson Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Dabi having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Andrézinho Magalhães made a precise shot to the right of Filomeno Dabi. Sacando del Medio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Filomeno Dabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Natanael Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Dabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, David Rey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filipe Cruz. David Rey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. A collision led to Ferreira Lopes MZC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Doni Sanches hit a great ball. Siro Joseph recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Rey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Filipe Cruz made a huge save. Jano de Amorim hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sacando del Medio's zone, Natanael Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Dabi came out of the goal and Natanael Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natanael Bittencourt to make the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when João Francisco Eger put in a rough tackle. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ferreira Lopes MZC! In the 61st match minute, Ferreira Lopes MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha de Senna to maneuver through the defense. Andrézinho Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Filomeno Dabi made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sacando del Medio could leave the field as winners, despite Ferreira Lopes MZC having more of the ball for most of the match.
