In the 16th minute, REAL VASCO RIO's Gláuber Cardozo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gervasio Dei. Gervasio Dei yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 19th minute of the match, Marcinho Velloso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gervasio Dei saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Chanchos's Gervasio Dei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Chanchos from getting a goal against them. Gervasio Dei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gervasio Dei was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sydney Mazza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Chanchos's Gervasio Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Paranaense in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Sydney Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The REAL VASCO RIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 62 minutes into the game, REAL VASCO RIO's Mazinho Paranaense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gervasio Dei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 65 minutes into the match, Chanchos's goal looked a bit too open when Rubens Marinho came free, but Gervasio Dei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Mazinho Paranaense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Dei. Chanchos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mazinho Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Natã Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Dei having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Mazza in the 95th minute of play forced Chanchos's goalkeeper Gervasio Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Josué da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Dei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
