AKS Chorzów's Dariusz Ziombkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Amorim in the 11th minute of play. Maksymilian Piekarczyk in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Felippe Guerra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Leal in the 21st minute of play forced AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper Dariusz Ziombkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Witalis Dytrych helped the player get up and apologised. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vágner Palmeira to strike the kick off in the second half.
