Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bernardo Soeiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Leif Ahlkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leif Ahlkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egídio Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Travassos to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Karl Rolfsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Karl Rolfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Gualter de Salles got a free kick in the 25th minute. Anton Bruhn kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Aílton Abreu's late challenge caught a FC NILS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aílton Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Aílton Abreu got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Bernardo Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leões do Sul 53's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Vacker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, FC NILS's Jan Vennerström seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jan Vennerström the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC NILS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jan Vennerström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC NILS! Leões do Sul 53's Ronaldinho de Castro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Karl Arvidsson in the 42 minute of the game. 43 minutes into the match, FC NILS's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Soeiro came free, but Rune Vacker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils-Eric Johansson charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils-Eric Johansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Leões do Sul 53 booed when FC NILS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Eric Johansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Leões do Sul 53 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leif Ahlkvist to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter de Salles in the 57th minute of play forced FC NILS's goalkeeper Rune Vacker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egídio Reis came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC NILS's Leif Ahlkvist. But to his dismay, Leif Ahlkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Karl Arvidsson made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leif Ahlkvist immediately put the ball in play. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Leif Ahlkvist sped through Leões do Sul 53's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egídio Reis. In the 74th minute Leif Ahlkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leif Ahlkvist struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Egídio Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC NILS. In the 78th minute Leif Ahlkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anton Bruhn kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Bernardo Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leões do Sul 53's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC NILS the free kick. Bernardo Soeiro hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Leif Ahlkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egídio Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Leif Ahlkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Reis having to interfere.
