Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rigoberto Gutierrez took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marquinhos Diniz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Marquinhos Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomás Meo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Cuervos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Meo couldn't finish the play. If Cássio Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardinho Catarinense was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Diego da Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Catarinense. Júlio Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Gutierrez in the 29th minute of play. Gaspar Lertxun kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego da Cunha in the 33rd minute of play forced Cuervos AFC's goalkeeper Gonzalo Benvide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Diego da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Diego da Cunha made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 62 minutes, Gaspar Lertxun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuervos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Lertxun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Gutierrez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Jacinto. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Gutierrez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Tomás Meo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuervos AFC's goalkeeper Gonzalo Benvide, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Diego da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzalo Benvide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Diego da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute Cássio Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Benvide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Lertxun in the 80th minute of the match. When Gustavo Santos fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Corinthians Paulista's protests and gave Gustavo Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Gustavo Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute of the match Tomás Meo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Júlio Jacinto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 88th minute Adolfo Ubarna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gonzalo Benvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Diego da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cuervos AFC had won, even though S.C. Corinthians Paulista had held more of the ball.
