Júlio Jacinto was a little too slow when Rayan Marin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Corinthians Paulista's zone, Noël Bretagne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Jacinto came out of the goal and Noël Bretagne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lionel Florent scored 2-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Jacinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 13 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Santos. The audience was convinced that Rayan Marin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Jacinto was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. With a little luck, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Júlio Jacinto got control of the ball when Jean-Marie Péneau tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gustavo Santos fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Corinthians Paulista's protests and gave Gustavo Santos a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Santos. Désiré Verdy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gustavo Santos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, S.C. Corinthians Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Paes to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Cássio Simões cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Désiré Verdy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Harold Jouvet made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Gustavo Santos. In the 47th minute, Luiz Fábio Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Désiré Verdy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rayan Marin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of S.C. Corinthians Paulista booed when Cyber Attack was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rayan Marin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Désiré Verdy came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Ricardinho Catarinense. But to his dismay, Ricardinho Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 66 minutes into the match, Cyber Attack's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Aparecido came free, but Désiré Verdy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 played minutes Cyber Attack got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Marie Péneau. Rayan Marin struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Júlio Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cyber Attack. When Cássio Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Aparecido couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayan Marin in the 81st minute of play forced S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Júlio Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Cássio Aparecido notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Cyber Attack's Désiré Verdy. Désiré Verdy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Désiré Verdy made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Ricardinho Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. Cyber Attack's Désiré Verdy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Cyber Attack from getting a goal against them. Júlio Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel Florent in the 94th minute of the match. Cyber Attack's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Cássio Aparecido scored to the left of an out of position Désiré Verdy, making the score, 2-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.C. Corinthians Paulista walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
