Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ were furious when Luís Fabiano Palmeira was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. AVV Zeeburgia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ the free kick. In the 31st match minute, AVV Zeeburgia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Amsterdam to maneuver through the defense. Richard Alcântara got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ulysses Gerber. Clemente Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Roel Saarberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roel Saarberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dênis Quadros's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Bobby Amsterdam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dênis Quadros to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Clemente Teles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Roel Saarberg made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Dênis Quadros sent off a good shot on target. AVV Zeeburgia's Roel Saarberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save AVV Zeeburgia from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the match, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Willem Rijkaard came free, but Dalmo Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willem Rijkaard in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Teles in the 71st minute of play forced AVV Zeeburgia's goalkeeper Roel Saarberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Dênis Quadros took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Roel Saarberg to make any attempt to save it. AVV Zeeburgia's Roel Saarberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Teles in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's zone, Ferdi de Zaaijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Barreto came out of the goal and Ferdi de Zaaijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdi de Zaaijer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to AVV Zeeburgia getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Bobby Amsterdam hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi de Zaaijer in the 93rd minute of play forced Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalkeeper Dalmo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
