Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dirk Jan Snoeks started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Dirk Jan Snoeks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AVV Zeeburgia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xurupita FC the free kick. In the 2nd match minute, AVV Zeeburgia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Jan Snoeks to maneuver through the defense. Roel Saarberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Fernando Rocha in the 4th minute of the match. If Carlos Fernando Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute of the match Dirk Jan Snoeks sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egídio Pirani skillfully saved the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Herbert Baker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egídio Pirani. Xurupita FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herbert Baker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 15 minutes, Frédson Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xurupita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frédson Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute Bobby Amsterdam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egídio Pirani came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by AVV Zeeburgia's Bobby Amsterdam. But to his dismay, Bobby Amsterdam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 22 minutes of play, AVV Zeeburgia's Bobby Amsterdam made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bobby Amsterdam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egídio Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Sandrinho Magalhães notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of AVV Zeeburgia's Roel Saarberg. Roel Saarberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 34th match minute, Xurupita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Egídio Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk Jan Snoeks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xurupita FC's Egídio Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Amsterdam in the 39th minute of play. Egídio Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Jan Snoeks in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Xurupita FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Dalmo Carneiro hit a great ball. In the 45th minute of the match Dirk Jan Snoeks shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egídio Pirani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 47 played minutes AVV Zeeburgia got a freekick which was hit by Willem Rijkaard. After the first half AVV Zeeburgia were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frédson Donato to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Xurupita FC's Egídio Pirani got control of the ball when Bobby Amsterdam tried to sneak it across the goal line. AVV Zeeburgia's Herbert Baker was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 54th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Roel Saarberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédson Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes AVV Zeeburgia got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Luirink. In the 76th minute, Nildo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xurupita FC's Egídio Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Baker in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, AVV Zeeburgia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Baker to maneuver through the defense. Roel Saarberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédson Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fabian Luirink fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVV Zeeburgia's protests and gave Fabian Luirink a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th match minute, AVV Zeeburgia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Luirink to maneuver through the defense. AVV Zeeburgia's Roel Saarberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Rocha in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AVV Zeeburgia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
