Michal Filipkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boleslaw Zakrzewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk Jan Snoeks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Pogoń Stawiszyn's Edgar Ciupierdo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roel Saarberg. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. A collision led to AVV Zeeburgia getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Bobby Amsterdam hit a great ball. Roel Saarberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Sedzikowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, AVV Zeeburgia's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Sedzikowski came free, but Roel Saarberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Pogoń Stawiszyn's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Jan Snoeks came free, but Boleslaw Zakrzewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Herbert Baker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AVV Zeeburgia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbert Baker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Daniel Sedzikowski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roel Saarberg. The goal made the score 2-0. AVV Zeeburgia's Franck Oosterhof got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willem Rijkaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boleslaw Zakrzewski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willem Rijkaard ran back to his position shaking his head. Boleslaw Zakrzewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk Jan Snoeks in the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Bobby Amsterdam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AVV Zeeburgia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bobby Amsterdam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Herbert Baker managed to get in a good position for a shot. AVV Zeeburgia's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Baker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boleslaw Zakrzewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Franciszek Przebendowski hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Dirk Jan Snoeks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dirk Jan Snoeks to make the kick off. Willem Rijkaard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boleslaw Zakrzewski having to make a save. After 56 minutes, Franciszek Przebendowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pogoń Stawiszyn and the AVV Zeeburgia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Pogoń Stawiszyn got a freekick which was hit by Franciszek Przebendowski. If Willem Rijkaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AVV Zeeburgia's Dirk Jan Snoeks got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lennart Tijink's late challenge caught a Pogoń Stawiszyn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lennart Tijink helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes AVV Zeeburgia got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Tijink. Bobby Amsterdam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Boleslaw Zakrzewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Willem Rijkaard could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Boleslaw Zakrzewski however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of AVV Zeeburgia booed when Pogoń Stawiszyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Sedzikowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Boleslaw Zakrzewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bobby Amsterdam. In the 79th minute Willem Rijkaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boleslaw Zakrzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee gave Pogoń Stawiszyn a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tadeusz Seliga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AVV Zeeburgia's Roel Saarberg. 3-0. AVV Zeeburgia's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Pogoń Stawiszyn had won, even though AVV Zeeburgia had held more of the ball.
