The referee ignored Nacional Potosí's protests and gave Xayveon Aballe a yellow card for diving instead. Max Gilespie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nacional Potosí eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
