In the 5th minute Luka Saje shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olayo Abella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nacional Potosí's Formerio Abeita in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Koper's goalie prevented a goal. Formerio Abeita hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Nacional Potosí's Olayo Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luka Saje in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Nacional Potosí booed when FC Koper was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Marš didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Formerio Abeita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bine Šercelj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Formerio Abeita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bine Šercelj was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Quirze Abello took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bine Šercelj. Bine Šercelj dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Anibal Abecia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional Potosí's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Abecia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bine Šercelj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bine Šercelj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quirze Abello in the 46th minute of the match. The FC Koper players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nacional Potosí were winning 0-2.
In the 52nd minute, one of FC Koper:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Koper. In the 53rd minute, Nacional Potosí got a penalty, and Xayveon Aballe placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Luka Saje struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Olayo Abella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Koper. Quirze Abello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bine Šercelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 62 minutes, Formerio Abeita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional Potosí's supporters crossed their fingers, but Formerio Abeita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quirze Abello in the 77th minute of play forced FC Koper's goalkeeper Bine Šercelj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Formerio Abeita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luka Saje recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xayveon Aballe during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Nacional Potosí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xayveon Aballe to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute of the match Mato Podlogar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olayo Abella showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bine Šercelj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Formerio Abeita, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Quirze Abello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Bine Šercelj successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Anibal Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Koper supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nacional Potosí's performance. The match ended with a win for Nacional Potosí.
