The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luka Saje received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Olayo Abella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Licerio Abad during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Nacional Potosí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Licerio Abad to maneuver through the defense. Nacional Potosí's Olayo Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marino Gregorič in the 43rd minute of play. The wind increased when Formerio Abeita made the kick off in the second half. Znadimir Tancek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Olayo Abella made a huge save. Bine Šercelj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Formerio Abeita in the 57th minute of the match. Bine Šercelj came out of the goal and Formerio Abeita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Formerio Abeita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bine Šercelj. FC Koper's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Formerio Abeita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. FC Koper's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
