The supporters of Haridades F.C booed when Club A. Chipa y Tereré was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Vachon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadeo Sesuldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Club A. Chipa y Tereré got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Ubelteso. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Luís Eduardo Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haridades F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Eduardo Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Sesuldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Ibañez hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ernesto Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. Cafu Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Club A. Chipa y Tereré's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cafu Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 49th minute, Joaquin Gomesano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moisés Dracena was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Luís Eduardo Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tadeo Sesuldo. Club A. Chipa y Tereré's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Eduardo Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Ernesto Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Sesuldo having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Haridades F.C's Ernesto Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadeo Sesuldo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 67 minutes into the game, Haridades F.C's Ernesto Coelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 84th minute of the match, Paolo Tximitx tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronaldinho Pernambucano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
